Well I am not sure if this is a new version for us. There is only a windows download section. Anyway: http://project-rainbowcrack.com/index.htm#download Regards Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
bah, I tried to find the sources, but probably upstream decided to continue building only on windows. The SRC_URI of the 1.2 ebuild doesn't work anymore either. Don't have any hope.
I have written to them. This is the answer: "1.4 source never released to public." but Google "rainbowcrack-1.2-src.zip" shows some hits. I'd say we close this bug for UPSTREAM. Regards

There seems to be Linux version out now, but it's binary-only. Reopen so maintainers can decide if they want it or not. http://project-rainbowcrack.com/rainbowcrack-1.5-linux32.zip http://project-rainbowcrack.com/rainbowcrack-1.5-linux64.zip

Maybe we could add rainbowcrack-bin-1.5 ? And keep rainbowcrack-1.2 with blocker to bin version.
Good idea, it would be right.
I've emailed upstream on two different accounts. First, they have no intention of releasing the source whatsoever, so it's binary only or nothing. Given that I shot an email off asking for a copy of their license. This is still waiting for a reply. Depending on that, perhaps some of the given options will be considered.
