After each update, portage reports:

 * Regenerating GNU info directory index...
 * Processed 121 info files; 1 errors.
install-info: START-INFO-DIR-ENTRY without matching END-INFO-DIR-ENTRY


This is due to wdiff:
$ install-info --dry-run --dir-file=/usr/share/info/dir /usr/share/info/wdiff.info.bz2 
install-info: START-INFO-DIR-ENTRY without matching END-INFO-DIR-ENTRY

It looks like a newline is missing in the file.

Committed fix

Committed this fix upstream. Will make a 0.6.1 release containing it really soon. Will have a closer look at some Debian patches first, though. Thanks for the report!
