Finance-Quote 1.16 is outdated for fetching currency exchange rates, because Yahoo has changed their website (see attached URL for details). Thus, running gnucash with Finance-Quote-1.16 does not allow to update the currency exchange rate. The gnucash helper program shows the following: >gnc-fq-dump currency USD EUR 1 USD = <unknown> EUR The problem disappears with Finance-Quote-1.17. Please bump Finance-Quote to 1.17. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Gnucash with Finance-QUote support 2. Execute "gnc-fq-dump currency USD EUR" 3. Results: "1 USD = <unknown> EUR" Expected Results: Correct readout of currency exchange rate. Problem disappears with Finance-Quote-1.17. Please bump version to 1.17 to allow for stable users to use the updated version.
It's been in tree since last October, *Finance-Quote-1.17 (06 Oct 2009) 06 Oct 2009; Torsten Veller <tove@gentoo.org> +Finance-Quote-1.17.ebuild: Version bump But I guess this would be a good time to stabilize 1.17.
Please stabilize dev-perl/Finance-Quote-1.17
amd64/x86 stable
alpha/ia64/sparc stable

All done.
