lvm2 2.02.62 is out and >=sys-fs/lvm2-2.02.61 is needed to build UDisks. please bump
Specifically, lvm_pv_get_{size,free} is needed from lvm2app.
Also, 2.02.56 has a more or less broken pvmove, it gives off a pile of these during the move: _memlock_count has dropped below 0. According to freenode/#lvm this is fixed in later versions.
(In reply to comment #0) > lvm2 2.02.62 is out and >=sys-fs/lvm2-2.02.61 is needed to build UDisks. which is needed for >=sys-apps/gnome-disk-utility-2.29 Please add it.
Ebuild for 2.02.56-r3 works except lvm2-2.02.56-device-mapper-export-format.patch doesn't apply anymore and haven't been merged upstream, the code was just slightly changed for tools/dmsetup.c.
Add one tally to comment #4, just did a copy/bump/digest and upgraded from 2.02.56-r3 and commented out the patch, and nove pvmove works without eating it's own hat. Also, there is an update to the udev rules that makes an error during boot go away.
I need to respin that patch still, I just haven't got around to doing it. If anybody else wants to respin and include (remember the header on the existing version), that would be great.
Also, >=sys-fs/lvm2-2.02.58 is needed for the lvconvert --merge feature. I did take a look at the device-mapper-export-format patch, but i'm afraid my C skills are not enough to update it. Currently I'm using the lvm2-2.02.61.ebuild from the gnome overlay, which has one additional patch (lvm2-2.02.61-lvm2app-as-needed.patch).
lvm2-2.02.63 is in the tree now, use it very carefully, make sure you do etc-update. The udev rules have changed a lot. I ran it for a week on my laptop, but that wasn't very through in exercising all the parts of it.
