This is an "sane-backends" ebuild using the latest daily git snapshot from http://www.sane-project.org/source.html and http://www.sane-project.org/snapshots/ This has more support for newer scanners / all in ones. I needed this to have support for my Canon PIXMA MP640 all in one. Based on the original ebuild for sane-backend : sane-backends-1.0.20-r3.ebuild with only slight modifications. I thought maybe someone is interested, too, because I did not find one ... Cheers

Hello! I have created two attachments. One is an update to the ebuild with a patch added for the canon pixma mx350, the second one is the patch itself. I got the patch from the sane-devel mailing list here: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/sane-devel/2010-June/027004.html Maybe anyone else wants to use it. I hope that the patch will soon be part of the official sane-backends (at least in git) so if you are patient just wait for that. Günther.
