net-misc/youtube-dl-2010.02.13 is in portage for nearly a month now. I emerged it on my x86 box and haven't had any problems. Regards Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Parts of youtube-dl-2010.02.13 don't work any more (at least as far as reporting the direct URLs). Fixed in the current version youtube-dl-2010.04.04 (which also has support for Yahoo videos).
Also, youtube-dl-2010.02.13 (as well as any later version) needs rtmpdump (which is not reflected in the ebuild). In fact, rtmpdump is not even in portage.
What do you meen by "parts [...] don't work any more"? http://bitbucket.org/rg3/youtube-dl/get/2010.02.13.tar.bz2 still exists, doesn't it? Also see http://bitbucket.org/rg3/youtube-dl/downloads/ for all available versions. Right now I had no proble emerging it. What do I have to look for?
This will *not* work. Please download latest youtube-dl sources and add as a new ebuild. This should fix a problem where youtube-dl is unable to download certain videos (uses detailpage instead of embedded on line 766). I patched it myself so it would work. But really needs get the latest version from http://bitbucket.org/rg3/youtube-dl/
Last version is in, rtmdump will follow when I get it in portage too.
