Please consider stabilization of libdvdread and libdvdnav mplayer forks, 4.1.3 or 4.1.3_p1168 or whatever. This is necessary to get a newer gst-plugins-resindvd stable. The current stable version can't even play many of the DVD videos I have, while the newer one can - but the newer one requires a new API that was added to libdvdnav-4.1.2. Also gst-plugins-resindvd is awfully out of sync with the rest of gst-plugins-bad and its split packages right now due to this. I have not personally checked anything other than gst-plugins-resindvd about how happy the libdvdread and libdvdnav using packages are about the new major versions. My suggested stabilization list is as follows: For alpha, amd64, arm, hppa, ia64, ppc, ppc64, sh, sparc and x86: =media-libs/libdvdread-4.1.3_p1168 =media-libs/libdvdnav-4.1.3_p1168 Additionally for amd64 and x86: =media-plugins/gst-plugins-resindvd-0.10.17 ppc, ppc64 and sparc can consider stabilizing gst-plugins-resindvd-0.10.17 as well, if they want to provide a better DVD video experience through gstreamer for their stable tree users. Other arches don't even have a ~arch keyword yet.
The gst-plugins-resindvd part of this depends on bug 308379
Arches please go ahead with the suggested stabilization above.

ppc stable
I tested all three packages on x86, looks good.

ia64/sh/sparc stable
