checking for kernel linux/autoconf.h... no The file /usr/src/linux/include/linux/autoconf.h does not exist. Please install the package with full kernel sources for your distribution or use --with-kernel=dir option to specify another directory with kernel sources (default is /lib/modules/2.6.33-gentoo/source). Upstream git seems to have a partial fix: http://git.alsa-project.org/?p=alsa-driver.git;a=commitdiff_plain;h=235b074b6eaa58c76bd7b22c78309df8fdebd3d9 But some files like http://git.alsa-project.org/?p=alsa-driver.git;a=history;f=i2c/other/tea575x-tuner.c (enabled by USE=alsa_cards_fm801) haven't been ported yet. Reported upstream as https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug/view.php?id=4946 as well, but it would be nice if this issue could be monitored for Gentoo as well, even if you close it UPSTREAM. If you want me to, I guess I could write a fix, based on the upstream commit, to addrss this in Gentoo before upstream makes their next release. Let me know.
Please bump to alsa-driver-1.0.23. It has the fix for this problem. In their changelog between 1.0.22 and 1.0.23, it is stated: "handle more nicely new location for autoconf.h (generated/autoconf.h"
