texlive-core fails while run ./configure:

configure: checking requested system `teckit' library...

The problem here seems to be poppler.so being a C++ library, and configure/m4 macro tries to compile using gcc, so it ends up having many unresolved symbols from the C++ world.

I'm not sure yet why it used to compile before.

I htink this has been fixed for 2010
