As suggested in:

Denis, could you please stabilize nwn stuff yourself for amd64? Seems that no one has that game to test

Thanks a lot
Comment 4 Denis Dupeyron (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-03-25 04:58:54 UTC
I have just stabilized 1.69-r1 for amd64 at Pacho's request, but not 1.68-r5 because repoman complained about built_with_use. It will need to be stabilized though since because 1.69 wasn't translated we need both a stable 1.68 and 1.69.

The ebuild will need to be slightly modified for built_with_use removal but I don't want to screw up so I won't do it tonight (too late).

x86 team, I can also stabilize for you if nobody has the game in your team.

Denis.

Somewhere in my attic I have it...maybe I will stabilise it later today if you haven't done it until then.

You should wait I have fixed 1.68-r5. I can't promise I will do it today. Note that there is also a bunch of other stuff to stabilize like nwn-data (obvious, it's a dependency), nwmouse, nwmovies, nwn-penultima and nwn-penultimarerolled. For the other stuff I need to think more about test cases: nwn-cep (I'll try and find a third party module that depends on it) and nwn-ded (no idea how to test this one, never used it).

My advice is that if you install the game then you install it on a machine where you can keep it. That means you can play it once in a while ;o) and you'll be ready to stabilize more stuff later.

Denis.

Three months, either stabilise or we go out of here.
Comment 8 Myckel Habets 2010-06-24 18:48:37 UTC
nwmouse and nwmovies can already be stabilized for some time, but hasn't been done.

I'm willing to stabilize and test this, but what is the case with the fixing of 1.68-r5 as mentioned in comment 5? Should I wait for that?

The cep, penultima modules and ded packages can IMHO be stabilized after this.
Comment 9 Myckel Habets 2010-06-27 08:55:55 UTC
2 things:

NWN_DATA=">=games-rpg/nwn-data-1.29-r3[sou?,hou?" shouldn't that be NWN_DATA=">=games-rpg/nwn-data-1.29-r3[sou?,hou?]"?

and

Why the hou and sou use flags? Are they actually used (instead of only passing it to nwn-data)? Isn't this something that only nwn-data should be bothered about?
Comment 10 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2010-06-27 12:34:29 UTC
Since seems that nobody in relevant arch teams are able to test this stuff, I would suggest two options:
1. Keep nwn stuff in testing
2. Let its maintainer stabilize them when he prefer
Comment 11 Myckel Habets 2010-06-27 18:51:25 UTC
Installed it and ran nwn, no problems encountered.

Please mark stable for x86.
Comment 12 Christoph Mende (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-06-27 19:53:45 UTC
Removing amd64, nobody from the team has the game.
Calchan, you have the permission to stabilize nwn and related packages on amd64.
Comment 13 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-06-28 22:41:09 UTC
done.
