Description Niels Ole Salscheider 2010-02-21 18:34:02 UTC
It would be nice to have a useflag for CUPS so that it can support a pdf printing workflow.
The ebuild has to get the following tarball and to execute "addtocups": http://www.openprinting.org/download/printing/pdf-printing/pdf-filters.tar.gz - this will add some additional filters like pdftopdf to the cups source directory.

Further information can be found at http://www.linuxfoundation.org/collaborate/workgroups/openprinting/pdf_as_standard_print_job_format

Reproducible: Always

Initial pdf filter support

This patch adds an use flag that allows you to add the pdf filters.

Given that the Gentoo printing team is tremendously understaffed, we won't do this ahead of upstream.

As far as I can see, the transition is planned for Cups-1.6.
