Description Aquila 2003-10-07 05:57:43 UTC
Whenever I try update world (emerge -upD world) I get the following blocker:
[blocks B ] media-libs/libquicktime ("virtual/quicktime" from pkg
media-libs/openquicktime-1.0-r1)
I have tried removing libquicktime, but it's a dependency from some package and
I have the same blocker after new emerge of libquicktime.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge -upD world

Actual Results:
[blocks B ] media-libs/libquicktime ("virtual/quicktime" from pkg
media-libs/openquicktime-1.0-r1)

Expected Results:
It shouldn't have shown the blocker

show the entire output of `emerge world -up` so we can see what pkg is at
fault
Comment 2 Aquila 2003-10-07 06:51:13 UTC
root@gentoo / # emerge -up world

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating world dependencies ...done!

[blocks B ] media-libs/libquicktime ("virtual/quicktime" from pkg media-libs/openquicktime-1.0-r1)

Comment 3 Tristan Henderson 2003-10-07 07:05:08 UTC
This might be related to the transcode openquicktime dependency? See bug
#30196
Comment 4 Patrick Kursawe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-10-07 07:17:11 UTC
I think this blocker wants to tell you that you can't have libquicktime and
openquicktime at once.
Comment 5 Aquila 2003-10-07 07:35:02 UTC
I have openquicktime and libquicktime installed, because of transcoder I
guess.
This means this bug is a dup of bug 30196, I'll close it.

Thanks for your help
