lxde-base/lxappearance (both stable [0.2.1] and testing [0.4.0]) fail when trying to set an icon theme in bz2 format. They work when extracted manually into ~/.local/share/icons, but they fail with the following error when using the LXappearance GUI install button:
gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
(lxappearance:27137): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_utf8_collate: assertion `str2 != NULL' failed
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open LXappearance
2. Go to the "Icons" tab
3. Click "Install"
4. Browse for an icon theme compressed with bz2
The error shows up (when launched from the terminal). If the application is launched from a menu, it gives no feedback as to the problem.
The icon theme should be installed via the GUI in either .tar.gz or .tar.bz2 format.
The error doesn't occur when using a .tar.gz archive.
