x86 stable
On x86 media-video/vlc with USE dc1394 pulls in media-libs/libdc1394-1.2.1 which blocks sys-libs/libraw1394-2.0.4. Possible options are: 1) A higher version of media-video/vlc which works with the new firewire stack needs to go stable but only media-video/vlc-9999 seems to work with it. 2) Maybe slotting sys-libs/libraw1394 like media-libs/libdc1394 works. 3) Getting media-libs/libdc1394-1.2.2 stable as the blocker says ("<media-libs/libdc1394-1.2.2" is blocking sys-libs/libraw1394-2.0.4). Or am I missing something here?
There is a dependency missing: dev-libs/pwlib-1.10.10-r2 needs to go stable before this one (see #307739, #272848)
ppc stable
Stable for HPPA.

Did not investigate further.
