This set of libraries gives me problem regarding preserved libs as follows: >>> package: app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-soundlibs-20091231 * - /usr/lib32/libesd.so * - /usr/lib32/libesd.so.0 * - /usr/lib32/libesd.so.0.2.38 * used by /usr/lib32/wine/wineesd.drv.so (app-emulation/wine-1.1.29) As you might expect, I've already tried to issue "emerge @preserved-rebuild" (almost 6 times) but it didn't help.

Please try to re-emerge wine with USE="-esd" and see the result
In my case, /usr/lib32/wine/wineesd.drv.so never shows up on revdep-rebuild runs, even when wine is merged with "esd" USE flag enabled (!?), but maybe it's because my systems are esoundless since years (I suffered misterious depends on esound by lots of apps some years ago when I were using esd) It's important to know if re-emerging wine with USE="-esd" fixes the problem for you since I would probably mask that USE for wine on amd64, since I won't add again this deprecated stuff simply for this

I had some problems with other deps and so I've delayed the test in order to prior fix those problems. With "-esd" useflag everything seems working fine.
Thanks a lot, I am going to mask esd USE flag for wine on amd64 then
Just fixed Thanks for reporting
