I'm hoping either Patrick or Diego can help with this. For every $package that has 'inherits linux-mod', do: 1. enter environment 1 WITH kernel sources present. 2. emerge -B $package 3. enter environment 2 WITHOUT kernel sources present. 4. emerge -K $package The package should install fine if everything is correct. Also, I'm interested if this QA message turns up at all: "QA: You called .... before any linux_config_exists!" where .... is a function name. I _DO_ expect some packages to fail. Don't open a bug for each one, just attach a list here instead please. net-firewall/ipp2p I know works and was my initial testcase in changing the linux-mod eclass.
My tinderbox does not use binpkgs, so I'll leave it to someone else.

Patrick, let me know if you need me to produce .tbz2s and do the rest of the report.
Toralf, if Robin is still interested, is this something that can be implemented?
(In reply to Mike Pagano from comment #5) > Toralf, if Robin is still interested, is this something that can be > implemented? not straightforward nor a quick&easy implementation I'd say
