I got this, but not could get a Key

Requesting key...

Sometimes this is good. I have reinstalled with

paludis -i pidgin pidgin-encryption pidgin-extprefs pidgin-libnotify \
    pidgin-smileys guifications purple-plugin_pack

several versions of pidgin and pidgin-encryption

pidgin-encryption is not updated since 2007-05-07, is this Plugin dead?

Sometimes works good but then don't works. This is very bad.

With pidgin-2.6.4 and newer versions pidgin-encryption don't works

That pidgin-encryption works allways

I'm unable to reproduce this issue and it works here. Please, be more specific, what do you mean sometimes works: does this mean that it worked at least once with >=pidgin-2.6.4?

Also, open Help -> Debug window (or how it's called in English version) and attach here debugging output, please. And lastly try to enable/disable other plugins.

I remember having this issue. I believe I had to create a symlink to /dev/random or some such.

x11-plugins/pidgin-encryption-3.1 works here. Please check it and if it does I'll request stabilization.

Ok, finally I've tested myself and 3.1 works.
