After installing tkcvs, no menu entry is created so users have to use the terminal to access the application. I'm not really sure if /usr/share/applications is the correct place to put this entries in KDE or other desktop managers, but i'm sure this does the trick in GNOME. I've attached my tkcvs.desktop entry... I think, something similar should do the tkcvs ebuild so that users can have a menu entry.
