/usr/lib/libwnn.so: undefined reference to `crypt'

re-emerge the package that owns libwnn.so (use equery or qfile to find out)
Comment 2 Rafał Mużyło 2010-01-07 19:26:04 UTC
May be an --as-needed problem.
In that case, bug should be against the package,
that owns libwnn.
Comment 3 Thomas Kahle (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-01-07 23:29:49 UTC
Indeed --as-needed failure. Sorry for overlooking this. Links fine without --as-needed.
Comment 4 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-01-08 05:56:34 UTC
That's with USE=freewnn, then.

Should be fixed by patches in bug 298744. Have you synced recently??
Comment 6 Thomas Kahle (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-01-08 08:31:05 UTC
Yes, freewnn useflag is set (see my emerge --info), yes I have synced recently.
kinput2 fails with --as-needed too, I am not talking about freewnn which builds fine.

Please unmask =freewnn-1.1.1_alpha21-r1 (it's ~x86), merge it and then try kinput2

Indeed, this does it.
