Created attachment 215466 [details] Build log
The latest release is from 2005/12/24 fails here also on 5.10.1
Broken due to perl-5.10 indeed. Never get to stable... Should we just treeclean it?
@cjk: do you want to keep this package in the tree?
I'll check it tomorrow. sorry for delay.
Given that tinysvm also fails to build Perl extension (bug #312573) wouldn't it make sense to at least mask their USE flags?
(In reply to comment #6) > Given that tinysvm also fails to build Perl extension (bug #312573) wouldn't it > make sense to at least mask their USE flags? I guess I'll mask/kill the perl flag then....
no, i am going to package.mask these three packages on friday (2010-10-22): app-text/yamcha sci-misc/tinysvm app-text/cabocha
Created attachment 251931 [details] A tarball containing patches and ebuilds for app-text/yamcha and sci-misc/tinysvm to build correctly under recent gcc/perl Hi folks, (long time no see!) The version of swig that was used to create perl/ directory for TinySVM and YamCha is too old to support newer gcc/perl, so I created patches to build them correctly under newer versions. The right way to fix it is to update .i and regenerate *_wrap.c{,xx}, but I don't want to do that by myself -- sorry! (I contacted the upstream, and he said he won't support it anymore) Cheers, Mamoru Komachi aka usata
Removed from the tree. Thanks usata for the patches in bug 299983.
