Description devsk 2010-01-03 20:50:23 UTC
Since the source is available on a developer specific site, the mirrors are tried in vain and hence delay the downloading of the source file. virtualbox-modules is one of the offending packages. This can slowdown a world update if there are multiple packages doing this. I am filing the bug against each and every package which does this, and which I encounter.

Eh? Things are automatically pulled to the mirrors. That might take some time (usually ~4-6h), during which the mirrors "fail".

Please don't. Unless you have no self-preservation skills and want to be hunted down :)

ok...:) I would have thought so, but this happened after the ebuild was out for quite a few days. I think this fuck up happened because I was using ebuilds from an overlay and their source is not in mirrors. Did a trial fetch for in-tree ebuilds, and the problem doesn't happen.

My bad!
