Description Helmut Jarausch 2009-12-18 09:44:29 UTC
The file icalss.h is still broken.
Several include directives, .e.g.
#include <icalgauge.h>
#include <icalset.h>
#include <icalcluster.h>
#include <icalgauge.h>
#include <icalcomponent.h>

need to be changed to
#include <libical/...>
since these files get all installed into
/usr/include/libical

e.g.
app-office/osmo fails to compile with
/usr/include/libical/icalss.h:38:27: error: icalcomponent.h: No such file or directory

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-12-18 14:26:33 UTC
Fixed by osmo-0.2.8.
Comment 2 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-12-18 15:02:59 UTC
I see,

$ qlist libical |grep pc
/usr/lib64/pkgconfig/libical.pc

$ pkg-config --cflags-only-I libical
-I/usr/include/

It should return -I/usr/include/libical instead. Reopening, since libical is shipping broken pkg-config file.
Comment 3 Andrew Frink 2010-04-18 20:51:41 UTC
This also breaks app-office/orage-4.7.5.

Comment 4 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-04-19 15:46:54 UTC
I just looked at this again, and libical/ has files like port.h, so it's definately not intended for pkg-config file to print out -I/usr/include/libical. This would just result in conflicting headers...
So.. It's in fact correct the way it is, it's a problem with 3rd party applications that haven't migrated to 0.44's new libical/ical.h include yet.
Comment 5 Christoph Mende (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-05-25 08:59:54 UTC
Well, if -I/usr/include/libical is not intended to be passed to the build system, how else is this supposed to work?
libical/icalss.h includes <icalcomponent.h> (i.e. as system header), which can't work without -I/usr/include/libical
