Description boris64 2009-12-13 15:30:43 UTC
The "Serverstatuswidget" is a plasma widget for the KDE4 desktop,
which makes it easy to check if one or more server/computers
are actually online/offline. Checks are done via icmp ping or simple
tcp connects on a given port in a defined interval.
Status changes are announced via configurable icon (+optional: KDE notifications).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:

This is a great widget for every sysadmin watching his server(s).
Well, maintainer wanted ;)

A simple ebuild

This ebuild is very simple, but should work fine.

2do:
Add proper DEPEND/RDEPEND stuff (like plasma?).
Is this needed if we use "kde4-base"?

Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild
submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely
manner. There are simply too many new packages.

Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The
sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to
commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry
into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this
and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =)

Thanks,
On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team,
Justin.
