Even I have installed blender on my gentoo, but it still a bug cause I have to use locale 'en_US.UTF-8' not 'zh_CN.UTF-8'.

It may sound silly, but does it work in zh_TW.utf8 locale ? Cause if it does, it's not quite a blender bug.
