Description Adam Randall 2009-11-20 17:22:30 UTC
sys-cluster/csync2 is currently having difficulties with SSL due to changes in net-libs/gnutls greater than 2.7.0. To try and work around this, I specified csync2 to not use SSL. For my testing, I used the /etc/portage/package.use file to specify it like so:

sys-cluster/csync2 -ssl

However, it should be able to be reproduced simply by doing this:

USE="-ssl" emerge sys-cluster/csync2

The build fails due to a syntax error, listed below.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:

Actual Results:
 * Messages for package sys-cluster/csync2-1.34:

 *
 * ERROR: sys-cluster/csync2-1.34 failed.
 * Call stack:
 *               ebuild.sh, line   49:  Called src_compile
 * environment, line 2253: Called die
 * The specific snippet of code:
 * emake || die "compile problem"
 *  The die message:
 *   compile problem
 *
 * If you need support, post the topmost build error, and the call stack if relevant.
 * A complete build log is located at '/var/tmp/portage/sys-cluster/csync2-1.34/temp/build.log'.
 * The ebuild environment file is located at '/var/tmp/portage/sys-cluster/csync2-1.34/temp/environment'.

The full emerge log for csync2

This file contains all the output of the emerge operation when trying to compile csync2 with the -ssl flag disabled.

Same result here!

An emerge without ssl is impossible.
Comment 4 Kacper Kowalik (Xarthisius) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-01-09 14:40:38 UTC
It's due to typo in csync2-1.34-pure-gnutls.patch.
For newer and corrected version see bug 274213.
