ngnus is supposed to be the development version of gnus, but its last release was in May 2008, more than one year before the release of Emacs 23.

We can add a live ebuild for app-emacs/gnus to the emacs overlay if there is user request for such a thing.

Done so, but in the main tree as app-emacs/gnus-9999.
