Update seems to be from 01-Aug-2009. I did not find any simple ChangeLog or announcement. The git repository gives some information: http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/attr.git/log/ on update please note the new website http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/attr/ (This was also announced http://xfs.org/index.php/XFS_Status_Updates#XFS_status_update_for_June_2009 ) Also, in SRC_URI (which is currently dead) are two ftp servers listed. ftp://xfs.org/ looks pretty dead, but oss.sgi.com is still valid with a different path: something like ftp://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/cmd_tars/${P}.src.tar.gz instead of ftp://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/download/cmd_tars/${MY_P}.tar.gz Additionally there is now the savannah/nongnu download.
I hereby request this bug and package to be opened to non-maintainer bumps. Unless this bug is closed before April's bumpday (2010-04-17) or any of the maintainer objects I may take the liberty of bumping this package from April's bumpday on.
Created attachment 234455 [details, diff] The gettext patch updated to match the new version The upstream has added 'ENABLE_GETTEXT' part to the macros file, thus I've stripped it from the patch. I'm not sure whether the remaining changes are required.
Created attachment 234457 [details] The updated ebuild I've performed the following changes: 1) migrated to EAPI=2, 2) updated SRC_URI and HOMEPAGE, 3) updated the gettext patch, remaining ones were upstream-applied. 4) removed eautoreconf call as we no longer modify configure macros. I would appreciate quick bump, as the current stable version doesn't build with non-bash /bin/sh (the issue was fixed in the latest version).

there was some reason i didnt bump it originally, but i forget why now. cleaned up your patch and added some other missing things and added to the tree.
