Description Marshall McMullen 2009-11-06 23:15:40 UTC
fwknop is a great firewall/security tool that allows single packet authorization on random ports to open up temporary access from a specified ip address through a firewall onto a specific service (e.g. SSH). It's like port knocking (ala knockd) but far more secure and less prone to piggy backing onto newly opened port.

Website is: http://cipherdyne.org/fwknop/

Reproducible: Always

Proposed ebuild.

This is a proposed ebuild for net-firewall/fwknop-1.9.12. It's modeled after the ebuild for net-firewall/psad that is already in portage. Both programs have some overlap in perl dependencies installed, so that would probably need to be fixed...

Guess there's already a bug request for a new ebuild for this -- Bug 178546. However, this one I opened has a suggested ebuild patterned after psad that is already in portage.

Please attach your ebuild to the original request.
