koctave had an update in 2006. I have made some updates to the old ebuild. The arts patch seems to be not needed any more, the patch for the desktop entry has become smaller and the ebuild has become more simple. Also I have changed HOMEPAGE and SRC_URI as both have moved. This solves bug #269137. There is only one problem that I do not know how to fix. I get an error when linking: logo.o: In function `logo::init()': logo.cpp:(.text+0x1be): undefined reference to `KWin::setState(unsigned long, unsigned long)' logo.cpp:(.text+0x1cd): undefined reference to `KWin::setType(unsigned long, NET::WindowType)' prefs.o: In function `prefs::browseDocsSlot()': … The problem disappears when manually moving -L/usr/lib64 behind -L/usr/qt/3/lib64 -L/usr/kde/3.5/lib64 (or when just removing -L/usr/lib64 completely).

Koctave has been removed from the portage tree and has not been added to KDE overlay. So I guess this bug and bug #269137 are WONTFIX?
