Description Alexander Semenov 2009-11-01 17:34:49 UTC
media-video/avidemux-2.5.1_p5428 - there is no "Avidemux" startup icon in applications menu when build with "+gtk -qt4" flags.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install media-video/avidemux with "+gtk -qt4" USE flags
2. Go to applications menu - Sound & Video
3. No avidemux icon here

Application icon is present when build with Qt4 interface.

That's strange. I don't see any significant difference in their .desktop files. I wonder what else could cause this. And which applications menu exactly are we talking about?
Comment 2 Alexander Semenov 2009-11-05 17:11:14 UTC
Gnome panel -> Applications -> Sound & Video.
Comment 3 Tobias Titze 2009-12-04 21:20:54 UTC
Running the command "update-desktop-database" shows that there are two lines in the .desktop file that cause the described problem. So I changed "Exec[$e]=avidemux2_gtk" to "Exec=avidemux2_gtk" and removed "Path[$e]=".
