Unable to play video streams that require windows media player and quicktime.  All it does is show a grey screen and then nothing happens the stream does not play.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.www.apple.com/trailers or http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html
2.a grey screen flashes
3.

Actual Results:  
see above

Expected Results:  
a video to be streamed

I have gentoo x86 and amd64 installed on two different computers and I experience the same problem on both computers.

You told use nothing about the software you use. Which browser, which plugin, which versions of them. emerge --info is missing too. 

Anyways, this issue seem more appropriate for forum/mailing-list/IRC than bugzilla.

please let me know if there is any other information needed to assist me with this program.  i am experiencing this problem on two different computers.  i using gnome-mediaplayer-0.9.8 and gecko-mediaplayer-0.9.8, mplayer-1.0_rc4_p1.0_rc4_p20091026-r120091026-r1

I am using mozilla-firefox-bin-3.5.4 and chromium-bin-4.0.222.4_p28661
