Description Tom Shaw 2009-10-20 19:38:27 UTC
If kstyles is emerged with the --as-needed LDFLAG then oxygen.so doesn't get linked to libkio and then qt applications like arora can't use the KDE file picker. It probably affects other things too but this is what's affecting me so I'm reporting it.

I've been using 'LDFLAGS="-Wl,-O1" emerge kstyles' and do get the KDE file picker in Arora now.

Which kde version was that? Does the problem persist with kde 4.3.5 or 4.4.2?

I'm on an amd64 install now with --as-needed and not doing anything special and it's working (tested in arora again). KDE 4.4 branch and qt-4.6 branch currently. I was on an i386 install when I reported this.

OK then let's resolve this as fixed. Feel free to reopen if the problem reappears...
