media-fonts/urwvn-fonts changed his home page now it's http://freshmeat.net/projects/urwvn/ Reproducible: Always
Thanks for the report, assigning to urwvn-fonts maintainers.
Thank you for report. I've updated HOMEPAGE, but I'll keep this bug report open for now... Actually I don't like idea to point on freeshmeat. But looks like we don't have better alternative atm. But I did some investigation of where do this font comes from. I found the following paper: www.tug.org/TUGboat/Articles/tb24-1/thanh.pdf It mentions that urwvn are just rough attempt to add Vietnamese glyphs to urw fonts. But then I found that this letters were merged into urw fonts. Reading urw fonts ChageLog: 2004-05-31 Valek Filippov <frob ... df.ru> Added Vietnamese glyphs form urwvn. Good, at this point I was thinking about deprecation and dropping urwvn from the tree. But... noticed that this fonts were dropped later: 2007-06-17 Valek Filippov <frob ... df.ru> Vietnamese glyphs were removed Well, I've asked Valek why this happened and in case fonts are broken we'll drop them from the tree. Fortunately freefont-ttf and dejavu support Vietnamese glyps: http://www.riverland.net.au/~clytie/viet/fonts.html So, let's wait until somebody makes situation a bit more clear...
a work around to manuell download: 1. cd /usr/portage/distfiles/ 2. wget http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/vntex/urwvn-ttf/urwvn-3.05-ttf.tar.bz2?use_mirror=kent 3. emerge -uDN world
(In reply to comment #3) > a work around to manuell download: I really don't understand what's all about. Today upstream contacted me and I've HOMEPAGE to point on correct location. This bug is FIXED.
Sorry but it's not fixed, I still have the problem (error 404 on the link)
What link? I'm able to open http://vntex.sf.net without any problems. Anyone?
