It is not just nvidia-drivers. It seems there is an issue with glibc no longer sporting the nptl use flag. I hard masked everything older than sys-libs/glibc-2.6 echo "<sys-libs/glibc-2.6" >> /etc/portage/package.mask And got this result: emerge: there are no ebuilds built with USE flags to satisfy ">=sys-libs/glibc-2.3[nptl]". !!!
