I did an emerge --sync, and portage said:
 * IMPORTANT: 1 news items need reading for repository 'gentoo'.
 * Use eselect news to read news items.


After entering eselect news into console, I get this:
nticompass@Hypercube ~ $ eselect news
!!! Error: Can't load module news
exiting


After some research, I found that the command is not 'eselect news', but instead 'eselect news-tng'.

This should be fixed so all users can correctly read the news.
