current version in portage is 0.6.7 0.7.0 was released on 2009-09-04
oh, well, it has also been renamed from nss-ldapd to nss-pam-ldapd, so you might want to move/rename the package as well :) also, the new homepage URI is http://arthurdejong.org/nss-pam-ldapd/
I just adapted the old ebuild for version 0.7.6 because I needed the new version. It works fine for me. I am not an expert in ebuild writing but maybe this is helpful anyway. I renamed the package to nss-pam-ldapd to reflect the name change upstream. It now also blocks pam_ldap as it provides its own PAM module.
Created attachment 237093 [details] ebuild for nss-pam-ldapd version 0.7.6
Created attachment 237095 [details] nslcd.rc for version 0.7.6 of nss-pam-ldapd to be placed in the files subdirectory of the ebuild directory changes the name of the config file as it was done upstream
We could probably bump this again to 0.7.8 now that it's out. Any reason why this has been dropped?
0.7.12 has been released meanwhile
Hello all, current version per website is 0.8.3 as of May 2011. Any chance of a version bump? We run ldap/gssapi against Active Directory at work, moving from nss_ldap to this would be a useful change, particularly since RHEL6 now defaults to using it. Cheers, Paul
I have successfully used the attached ebuild on both x86 and amd64 with version 0.7.15 (which is the latest version in the stable branch, 0.8 is a development branch). The only change I made to the ebuild was to add ~amd64 keyword to it. I also changed the opts= to extra_commands= in the nslcd.rc file to shut up a warning from recent updates. What are the chances of this getting in either the main portage tree or in an overlay?
fixed in nss-pam-ldapd-0.8.10 (nss-ldapd had it's name changed to nss-pam-ldapd upstream)
