With xorg-server-1.5.3 and above X will work on most graphic cards without an xorg.conf file. I attached a patch to enable the x-setup script to continue without.

This also works and lets x-setup continue and X started fine with xorg-server-1.5.3 and intel card

Fixed in Sep 22 iso.
