Pacho, your patch is good but it's probably better to use sed because it's less space consuming. Patch are mostly used for complex changes. The sed command is: sed -i -e "s/LDFLAGS += -s/LDFLAGS += /" Makefile.in || die "sed failed"
I fixed that in 0.98.1-r1.
OK, thanks for the tip :-) I attached a patch because maybe upstream would want to apply it, since seems that this behavior changed recently :-/ Thanks a lot for comitting the fix :-)
