Description Petteri Räty (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-09-18 14:55:38 UTC
Current stable uses built_with_use. Please approve.
Comment 1 Petteri Räty (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-10-03 11:30:05 UTC
No response from maintainers so leaving up to arch teams.
Comment 2 Denis Dupeyron (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-10-05 22:00:25 UTC
Please arches, go ahead with this stabilization. Note that this ebuild was split for 1.4.3-r1 into the following ones and is nowadays nothing more than a meta-ebuild:
sci-electronics/geda-docs
sci-electronics/geda-examples
sci-electronics/geda-gattrib
sci-electronics/geda-gnetlist
sci-electronics/geda-gschem
sci-electronics/geda-gsymcheck
sci-electronics/geda-symbols
sci-electronics/geda-utils

Thus you will need to stabilize all of the above before sci-electronics/geda-1.4.3-r1.

Denis.

sci-electronics:geda-gnetlist-1.4.3 fails testsuite in two ways, if the package itself isn't installed, it will fail b/c the PATH isn't set correctly. if sci-electronics:geda-gnetlist-1.4.3 is installed and you run the test, I'll get:

Passed 5, failed 20, skipped 0 out of 15 tests.

>sci-electronics:geda-gnetlist-1.4.3 fails testsuite in two ways,

You may test fresh geda/gaf 1.6 ebuild, it has the fine cairo rendering for gschem and many bugfixes.
Comment 5 Thomas Beierlein gentoo-dev 2009-12-17 21:04:46 UTC
Wrt comment #3 for gnetlist:

tests/Readme states explicitly that gnetlist has to be installed before running tests. A patch should be possible.

If we dig a little bit deeper into the failed test it shows that the generated netlist is consistent with the refence one. Only difference is the ordering of the lines. That is already discussed upstream (see http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2455061&group_id=161080&atid=818426).

Maybe the package needs a RESTRICT=test.
Comment 6 Paweł Hajdan, Jr. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-03-01 18:35:15 UTC
Please fix the test failures. If some package is needed for the tests, it needs to be added to deps.

everything except sci-electronics/geda-gnetlist is stable on x86, geda-gnetlist fails tests

That got fixed in geda-1.6.1 (see gnetlist/ChangeLog). As 1.6.1 is in tree for more than two months without open bugs now I suggest to stabilize the new 1.6.1 instead. It compiles installs and works here on stable amd64 without problems so far.

We could drop the whole splitted 1.4.3 suite afterwards.

Comment 11 Andreas Schürch gentoo-dev 2010-06-17 07:08:16 UTC
It seems to be ok now on x86...

I tested the following
=sci-electronics/geda-1.4.3-r1
=sci-electronics/geda-gnetlist-1.4.3
=sci-electronics/geda-docs-1.4.3
=sci-electronics/geda-examples-1.4.3

So what is the score now?
Comment 13 Thomas Beierlein gentoo-dev 2010-06-23 09:41:04 UTC
Split geda-1.4.3 ebuild got package masked on jun 21.

Arches please go on and stable the actual geda-1.6.1. It is in tree since end of march and has no open bugs.
