After upgrading to sys-fs/udev-145-r1 it starts to generate the error messages like: Sep 15 07:53:57 atom udevd[28787]: error getting buffer for inotify in the syslog at an incredible rate (my syslog has grown to approximately 400 MB in just under 24 hours). After upgrading to 2.6.31-gentoo the problem seems to have gone away.
The problem is back, so upgrading to 2.6.31-gentoo haven't solved the problem.
