Description Ivo Senner 2009-09-04 14:39:59 UTC
When I updated my system yesterday I got a KDE update. Everything works fine so far except Konqueror. I get the following error message on startup:
There was an error loading the module About-Page for Konqueror.
The diagnostics is:
The plugin 'konq_aboutpage' uses an incompatible KDE library (4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1)).
There are a couple of different modules/plugins which cause the same message like dolphinpart (Dolphin View).
I don't if the following is caused by the same issue. But if I type an url in like 'google.com' konqueror answers with "Protocol not supported". I gotta type 'http://...' which is not the behaviour I'm used to;)

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Update kde parts to 4.3.1
2. Start konqueror

Actual Results:
Error messages like the one above
There was an error loading the module About-Page for Konqueror.
The diagnostics is:
The plugin 'konq_aboutpage' uses an incompatible KDE library (4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1)).

Expected Results:
Just show up with the start page

Btw: I did 'emerge -1 kde-base/dolphin:4.3' after emerging konqueror like you are supposed to do.

This is wrong - update all KDE apps from 4.3.0 -> 4.3.1
Besides I suppose this is what you get when running KDE your while updating your system (having older kdelibs loaded in memory and running older konqueror works fine, and starting older konqueror that picks newly installed kdelibs will cause this issue).
So... please don't.
If you don't agree with bug resolution, then please emerge -vaDu world and then try to reproduce.
