Hi!

it would be nice if the config checks from linux-info.eclass could be disabled together with the DEPEND on virtual/linux-sources through a variable in make.conf (like LINUX_INFO_NOCHECK or sth like that). i have a lot of vservers running which do not have and do not need kernel sources. it would probably be a good idea to elog the required kconfig options for completeness sake, but since i am pretty sure what i am doing it's a pita to install and configure kernel sources for every other vserver where it isn't needed at all

This is part of the work in bug #283320, where linux-info will no longer bring in linux-sources.

check_extra_config WILL still run, but if no configuration is available, there are only warnings.
