Comment 1 Alex Walker 2003-09-10 07:10:28 UTC
I can merge it with:
USE="-* GTK" emerge libdv
so does that mean one of the flags I have is causing the issue?
Comment 2 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-09-10 07:39:50 UTC
can you paste more of the error please? preferable if you were to attach the entire emerge output from this with your regular USE settings
Comment 3 Alex Walker 2003-09-10 17:02:12 UTC
Here it is then...

The log, without weird line breaks added by browser

In case this makes the previous paste clearer - it's the log from
/var/log/portage for the merge

Got weird errors on the bug tracking, which means I added the attachment of the log twice, and
mails haven't been sent out... I think
Comment 7 Christian Jiresjö 2003-09-18 23:26:59 UTC
Could you try with the patch commented out

Additionally the USE-flags that should be the only ones to matter is gtk, sdl,xv and debug.

So trying without each on of them would be the next step if removing the patch doesn't solve it

PS. Why did this comment disappear after posting

This bug is suspiously similar to bug 29070. Just adding this comment so I can
track both easily. Looks like the only thing in common is sdl. Still digging.
Comment 9 Max Kalika (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-09-19 16:12:48 UTC
Oops, wrong association -- it is close to bug 29039.

Ok, this is actually a duplicate after all. Please follow the resolution on bug
19221. This fix has worked for several people already, for different projects.
