Description PM 2009-08-28 08:51:31 UTC
For some time now I've observed gkrellm crash with SIGABRT at random, often when the computer stands idle.

Comment 1 Jim Ramsay (lack) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-09-03 18:31:26 UTC
Based on the trace you posted, I suspect it is in the mail-check portion of gkrellm:

#16 0x0000000000437412 in mail_check_thread (data=<value optimized out>) at
mail.c:2213

If you disable this plugin, I expect it should no longer crash. However, this obviously has to be fixed!

Would you mind attaching the output of:

  grep '^mail' .gkrellm2/user-config

Remember to sanitize the output before attaching it, as it may contain your mail password!

I have just add gkrellm-2.3.4 to the tree, which contains a number of stability fixes. Please give it a shot and let me know if this issue persists.

Hi, I haven't seen this type of crash for a long time now, so I'll close the bug. Thanks for your time.
