Package dev-tex/floatflt was masked in the profiles/package.mask because it was included by default in the tetex package. Now tetex is deprecated and there is no such package in the standard texlive tex packet. It would be better to unmask it back.

On my system, dev-tex/floatflt is still installed but the corresponding ebuils seems to have disappeared from the portage tree.

Is there a replacement for this package ?

Not in the sci overlay anymore (why?)
