Minor correction is needed.
Instead of
append-lfs-flags
following line is needed:
append-cppflags -DLARGE_FILE_SUPPORT

AFAIK, 'instead' means 'replace', not 'append'.
While that's not a bug, having both results in 
annoying warnings during build.

yes, the only difference is build warnings.  the resulting capability is the same.

Well, I just wonder, what's the point of keeping a "fix",
that was rendered obsolete by a change in the build sysmem.
