After clicking on the 'Get Gentoo!' link on the main page, then clicking on 'x86' under 'Gentoo Weekly Minimal Install CD and Stages' users are transferred to page that says the following: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /gentoo/releases/x86/current/ on this server. Even though users can use the 'http://mirrors.kernel.org/gentoo/releases/x86/2008.0/installcd/install-x86-minimal-2008.0.iso' CD. I think that new users will be confused on how to get Gentoo, because it is the first link on that page on how to get Gentoo, and the warning says 'Warning: The 2008.0 releases are deprecated, and their links will be removed soon. You should use the weekly releases instead.'. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click on 'Get Gentoo!' link. 2.Click on 'x86' link. Actual Results: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /gentoo/releases/x86/current/ on this server. Expected Results: Going to the 'Gentoo Weekly Minimal Install CD and Stages'.
After looking at the 'http://www.gentoo.org/main/en/where.xml' page after clinking the 'Get Gentoo!' link. I noticed there aren't any other links for x86 besides that link that goes to a Forbidden page and the LiveCD for i686.
