If autounmask is run for a program that does not need new entries in /etc/portage/package.unmask, autounmask writes comments to that file unneccessarily. This makes the file harder to maintain. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. run autounmask for a program that is ~keyworded but not masked 2. cat /etc/portage/package.unmask 3. Actual Results: There will be new comments in package.unmask, but no new entries. This is unneccessary. eg. # --- # BEGIN: net-libs/xulrunner-1.9.1 # --- # --- # END: net-libs/xulrunner-1.9.1 # --- Expected Results: The file should not be written to.
Assigning to maintainer, however this may be an upstream issue.
(In reply to comment #1) > Assigning to maintainer, however this may be an upstream issue. > Gentoo _is_ the upstream for autounmask.
