Templating this bug since I found quite a few already. If you have a tracker let me know.

Is there already some solution for this problem?

Btw. I'm pretty sure that I have managed to compile mtvg-7.3.2-r1 even with KDE4 (4.2.2) installed in the past (April 2009). The QT3 (3.3.8b-r1) version didn't change since that time. Only the KDE3 changed a bit (from kdelibs-3.5.10-r2 to kdelibs-3.5.10-r6). So what's the problem here?

The main problem is that there's no KDE4 version, and no developers left to find out the cause of old KDE3 bugs. Last release from 2007-03-04. I suggest you find a alternative, and open a ebuild request for it.

If there would be an alternative, I would write the ebuild by myself.
