Hi, your packages metadata.xml is missing a <herd> tag. Quoting from the Gentoo Developer Handbook, Chapter 4 http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel/handbook/handbook.xml?part=2&chap=4 <quote> There must at least be one herd subtag. The contents of this tag must be the name of a herd as specified in the herds.xml file or the "no-herd" herd. It must occur at least once. </quote> Thanks.
It used to be part of secure-tunneling herd, but Jeroen removed it on the grounds that it has no maintainers. There are two choices: a) leave it as it is b) add it to secure-tunneling even we don't have such team Whatever floats your boat...
Fixed: http://sources.gentoo.org/viewcvs.py/gentoo-x86/net-misc/openswan/metadata.xml?r1=1.8&r2=1.9 Since herd is required tag, we use no-herd to mark that there is no herd.
